Crowning the Sun

Daily Note

Every day, a photograph, a poem. Oh yesterday was foggy and overcast, a dismal day, but this morning the always magical rising of the mist from the Columbia River played with the sun to create this beautiful orange/red/pink garland around it. It looked like a beautiful day ahead.

And so, a poem.

Crowning the Sun

Magical moments of fairy mist rising
Swirling the morning sun’s rays
Into a coral crown

Now, shortly after that picture the mist and the fog settled in together and the same spot looked like this– how much nature can change in just a few hours time.

However, within the next few hours, the fog dissipated and partly cloudy sky shone in bright sunshine so we could finally go out for lovely walk along North Dam.

So, indeed, a magical day!
