tabby cat comfortably napping on its bed in the window on a winter day

Daily Note

Every day, a photograph, a poem. Today, it snowed. Still, our fussy cat attempted a morning stroll, only to come knocking [literally– bangs on the screen door] at the door to come back inside. She races through the house, into every room, more than once to warm up. Then she hops up into her spot in the window to take a nap and allows no one to pet her. That’s our wild and funny cat with the adorable face and big eyes we cannot resist, even though she’s mean.

That’s Our Cat

Snowing today
Boring for play
I tried to be bold—
Morning stroll:
Just so cold;
Rushed back inside
Raced far and wide
Warming up with each lap
Go away: I need a nap.
