Daily Note and Daily Create

Every day, a photograph, a poem. Today’s Daily Create Prompt:  #DS106  #tdc4053  #clmooc  #dailycreate Internet Emergency Exit sign— brought my mind to this lovely entrance to Cole Park over Fiddle Creek, an entrance that is part of our daily walks all year long. In the spring, summer, and autumn, the sounds of the little creek beneath a canopy of trees often filled with chirping birds offer a pleasant respite from the busy and sometimes chaotic world and screen time. The sun filters through the leaves while the shade provides a cool escape from the heat. It’s a beautiful place to rejunevate, and the magic is just down the street.

And so, a poem:

Sounds of Nature

a chirp, a tweet,
a buzz to a floral sweet;
a babble, a ripple,
a creek flows just a little;
a sparkle, a shadow
a canopy of leaves bedazzles:
sounds of nature capture
as we enjoy the rapture
of nature’s offered chance
to join its lovely dance.
