Daily Note

Every day, a photograph, a poem. Taking a walk on Sunday at Crescent Bay on Lake Roosevelt National Recreation Area, we found the shore line much lowered— usually the water level is almost to the bottom of the cliffs. All in foreground view is under water. Lake Roosevelt is a reservoir behind Grand Coulee Dam. And so, a poem…

Nature and Us

Spring

Mountain snow melts

Flowing in streams

To rivers

To the ocean

Reservoirs

Lowered

to hold

Flowing melt

Rushing, rushing

  to sea
