Every day, a photograph, a poem. I’ve written poetry for this before, but the photo always amazes me. Our cat loves to climb trees and she is perfectly camouflaged on our crab apple tree’s branches. Notice how her back legs are ready to pounce, with one front paw also ready and one taking a break, relaxed, curled. Eyes are focused on where the birds like to land, and she is always ready. And so, a poem…
Three legs posed; one paused,Sheri Edwards
waiting, alert, for that one
bird landing just there.
