Daily Note
Every day, a photograph, a poem. In 2019 we traveled home across the state of Montana— a two day journey beneath what they call there, the Big Sky. And when the storm rolls across the prairie lands, it pours a lake, pounding the windshield and the road, darkening the skies, and then, as the storm fades and the crops pop back up, a rainbow reminds us, “See, that wasn’t so bad, and look at all the green.” So we snapped this photo to remember.
And so, another poem…
Poetry
Somewhere in Montana
Rain poured from Big Sky,
Sheri Edwards
Dark and dim for the drive,
Drenching the soil for crops
And a rainbow reins after it all,
Proclaiming the storm’s gift.
