Daily Note
Every day, a photograph, a poem. In my photo memory pop-up, this silly photo appeared. My poem is about a playful cat, which is what we usually have had for pets, but our newest cat is a grouch, a wild grouch. That paw means, “Leave me alone. Do not pass. I am napping here.” But I did not want to write that poem; we’re working with her to learn to be “nice.” She’s four years old and this month, she actually has run to us when we return home, hugged our legs, and waited for a pet. In other words, it’s take four patient years to be able to pet this wild creature. But she always looks like a bubble-eyed kitten, even if it’s sometimes an angry-looking bubble-eyed kitten. So what can you do?
And so a poem for the usual kind of cat:

Stay with me and play.
