Daily Note
Every day, a photograph, a poem.
In our little neighborhood, Halloween is exciting. Our neighbor goes all out. In fact, sometimes we just hang a sign that says, “Treats Next Door,” and give our candy to their “Haunted House.”
This year, our neighbors are spending time with grandparents, so aren’t doing Halloween here this year. That means, it’s up to us. I have quite a bit of Halloween decor, but I’ve just set up a little bit. I think the gnats in the spider webs are the best part, and I just asked cooperation with nature for that!
When I decided to write a Halloween poem, I stepped outside to take a picture. And what to my wondering eyes appear? Of course, a mule deer buck eating the pumpkins.
I snapped a movie as well and decided to make a movie with the neighbor’s and our house, the mule deer, and the poem. Enjoy.
Enjoy a safe and happy Halloween, no matter how you celebrate the day. I chose a Gaelic folk influence from the Celtic-speaking countries for my poem.
