November: National Novel Writing Month, also called NaNoWriMo. That means that for the next thirty days, I’ll be writing at least 1,667 words each day to reach a final goal of 50,000 words. See November 1’s post for more information: I Write.
Olivia, a changed character soon to be changed again, notices a flower new to her. She’ll discover soon its name and meaning. I know it as periwinkle, but it’s also called “Joy on the Ground,” which fits perfectly in my story. In periwinkle folklore, the plant enhances memory and offers protection as well as treats wounds. Lost memories are found and negative energy dissipates. The plant, therefore, will be important to the plot in the story, aiding the hero in her mission.
