Let’s Go, Guthrie

At North Dam Park walking near the rough woods

Daily Note

Every day, a photograph, a poem.

Yesterday we walked at Crescent Bay on Lake Roosevelt in a river of rain — an atmospheric river over the Pacific Northwest in which the rain pours and pours and pours. [Yesterday’s Post: Found, Marker]. Even in that rain, that constant rain, Guthrie did not want to stop.

Today, the rain stopped. We took Guthrie for a trim and found out he still has puppy hair. His coat will change. This dog is a bear! Huge. He’s just a puppy, yet oh so sweet. We walked him at North Dam Park, in the area by the old woods beneath the power lines from Grand Coulee Dam. He loves a new area to roam, and, although he didn’t really want to go yet, he hopped right into the truck. He’s a good dog.

Let’s Go, Guthrie

So many places to explore
So many messages to check
So many miles to meander
I can’t go home yet.

    1. Thanks. He came to us in a round about way, and we could not resist his him– soft and sweet for a large dog. And though he’s still a puppy and loves to run and run and run, he’s not rambunctious in between– very lazy. A great companion for us.
