This is an easy story about the time I found shoes in the garden…

The Story

Husband: Where are my boat shoes?
Me: The ones you left in the garden?
Husband: Yeah.
Me: They’re still in the garden.

Poetry

When you leave shoes in the garden…

I found some shoes in the garden,
well-used and seemingly lost,
So I stuffed them up with potting soil
and filled them up with flowers bright;
I placed them beside the small front porch
and smiled at their unique delight;
Later that day my husband asked
“Have you seen my boat shoes?”
I mumbled, “The ones in the garden?”
Of course he looked at me with, “Yeah….?”
And I smiled back, “They’re still there.”
