Four leaf clover found in my backyard in the 1960s

St Patricks Day Daffodils

Daily Note

Every day, a photograph, a poem. About the photos:

  1. It’s St Patrick’s Day, a favorite day. Years ago the family would gather downtown in Spokane for the St Patrick’s Day Parade. We all loved it– a totally fun parade and event. I enjoy all the different “blessings” that pop up that are Irish. I revised one of my own. Sending you blessings for this holiday!
  2. And I love the shamrock, and so clover, which I let grow naturally in our yard. We are even planting it in the backyard where it will grow with less water and just a bit of sun. I’m looking forward to the little leaves and some flowers growing there.
  3. I found a four leaf clover in my backyard in Bismarck, ND in the 1960s. I still have it!
  4. And today another kind of Irish blessing: our daffodils fully opened today! That is a blessing.

And so… a poem

Poetry

St Patrick Daffodil

Green leaves and yellow clover
Mark the flower for St Patrick’s Day
But I’m just glad for this blessing:
Daffodils opened fully today.
