Returning from our afternoon walk, I admired, as usual, our lovely pink crab apple tree blossoms, and a bumble posed! Do you see him in the upper right?
Bumble bees are one of the first bees out and one of the last bees done in autumn, as late as November because they can fly in the cold. That also means they can feast off many varieties of plants, like our crab apple tree.
And, they can release the pollen of some plants that other bees cannot:
