Sunny Blooms

apple, cherry, and crab apple trees bloom in our yard

Daily Note

Every day, a photograph, a poem.

Our afternoon walk ended with this scene: our blooming trees: apple, cherry, and crab apple. It’s stunning right now. Looks like the apple tree needs pruning! And it looks like there will be plenty of apples and crab apples for the deer in autumn. The cherry trees are ornamental and don’t grow fruit.

Guthrie had a great day today: he met a new friend, Lady, and they wrestled around together for quite a while. Everyone is always amazed at how athletic Guthrie is, spinning in circles, jumping, running. Dogs are funny creatures– playing so hard until they are exhausted.

I don’t think Guthrie notices the trees blooming — just the tree trunks and the messages left.
