Busy Day: Castle and Lilacs

Morning

I started out the day with Calvin the Drifter of Drifter Studio painting watercolor lilacs from his Let’s Paint Watercolor Lilacs YouTube video. I’ll be changing the tag to be a birthday greeting for my granddaughter. Shh! Don’t tell her. Calvin has beautiful watercolor brushes and tons of tutorials using them. His tutorials are easy to follow with plenty of techniques to use in all your watercolor / gouache paintings. The brushes have no commercial limitations, so they are worth it!

Afternoon

In Artmakers Club with Lisa Bardot today of #bardotbrush, we used her pattern brushes and followed along while she guided us to create this fun castle, which we adapted in our own way. Her brushes are fun and easy to use– also without commercial limitations. Textures, line work, shading, fill, patterns: she’s got them all for fun and fantastic art illustrations.
