Inspiration
Everywhere we look now in September we see what looks like snow on the ground, but it really is snow buckwheat, Eriogonum niveum. It’s one of the flowers of Coulee Country. I plan to make it a pattern and tea towel, like I’m doing with other wildflowers of our area, the shrub-steppe of eastern Washington.
This is my first sketch from my photos. I also wrote a limerick for it today: Snowy September.
