Call of the Wild

Some demand pristine,
but I call for the wild ones:
Cornflower, mallow,
Salsify and balsamroot,
Phlox, and the dandelion.

Yes, I invite the weeds, the wildflowers, the natural meadow of our surrounding area right into my yard, and I enjoy even the dandelions, like these found at the edge of the cattails at the end of the road on Banks Lake while walking the dog.
