NaPoWriMo Spring Delights Spreading Phlox

spreading phlox diffusa

Another flower all over our area, phlox diffusa — mats of them among the sagebrush hiding among the glacial till– the rocks in the soil deposited by glaciers thousands of years ago. Yes, mats of them spread and shine their lovely five petals for us as spring progresses, lasting all summer long. Beauty in small bites clumped together for a gorgeous show.

Spring Delights

In amongst the glacial rocks
spring up mats of spreading phlox
