Coulee Country Series

Last July 2024, as I finished up the first of a new collection based on the wildflower curlycup gumweed, I realized that over the past two years, I’d created a hodge hodge set of illustrations based on the photographs from around our shrub-steppe area and in our neighborhood of the wildflowers taken on daily walks with our dog, Guthrie. By September with my snow buckwheat illustrations, I’d reviewed my work and began to organize the illustrations, adding in additional hero and blenders to the much larger umbrella group called Coulee Country Series. I placed all the local wildflower and neighborhood illustrations in a Coulee Country Collection on Spoonflower. Within that I will add the coordinating illustrations for each of the many Coulee Country illustrations I’ve already made, and add them to this additional special project of my portfolio.

Currently the illustrations with a cohesive set of at least three coordinated patterns each, include the following florals. I’ll add to the list as the Coulee Country Series grows. This will be my main project this year.
