Day 24 Ornament
I created this holiday card design that I really love. I see ornaments everywhere now — not just on the trees. People hang ornaments on windows, in wreaths, in all kinds of glass containers, and on presents. Each one is unique and carries with its presence a gift of its own: quiet, simple beauty.

All these ideas inspired me to create a card with the same simple beauty.
Wishing you joy!
Technique:
I had created each ornament as a separate file and exported them as pngs, which I inserted into my card.
To create the shadow on the wall, duplicate all the ornaments and their ribbons and merged them onto one layer; fill with all black. Set blend to multiply. Move that layer slightly right and down and add the Gaussian blur; lower the opacity as needed for the effect. Enlarge the layer slightly, adjusting opacity again if needed.
To create colored versions, start with the ribbon layer. Adjust the hue and saturation to desired color. Use that as the base to adjust the background layers [here I have background color and added texture color]. If needed, adjust the top text layer as well.
