Daily Note

Every day, a photograph, a poem. This photo of Union Pacific Railroad Depot museum in Dayton, WA includes my reflection– as I reflect on the past in this window shining light back. I chose this window, this reflection, this poem as a continuance of Dot Day 22— where I hope that I am the light, the smile, the hope, the fight for the rights of all that will be mirrored back to my children and grandchildren for their better lives and that they may continue to see the need for the fight for justice.

The past we carry forward to learn from, to move into our own paths, but hopefully that path lights the way for all others– to raise up all to the opportunities on this planet earth, our only home. We must be the light forward. And that light begins with a smile.

“A smile is the light in your window that tells others that there is a caring, sharing person inside.” ~ Denis Waitley

We are a window in time and of time, for times that have not yet arrived.

Window in Time

We carry it with us, the past
We carry it forward, our path
We set justice in sight
We put rights in the light
We hope the insights
Live on in our children’s better life.
