Daily Note

Every day, a photograph, a poem. Oh the winter has arrived in full, cold force across the continent. And in our backyard the spinner is stilled by the heavy snow gathering on its wings. All is quiet and today we wish for calm and warmth for all.

In our neighborhood, three stray cats have called us home– Scott prepared a spot in the garage [whose old door finally gave out and we’ve yet to find someone to help us replace it]. He’s formed an insulated spot with an old jacket and water and food for the three creatures braving the winter cold in the fluffy fur coats.

Silent White

The gentle breeze of crystals white
Still the spin with snow piled bright.
