Daily Note

Every day, a photograph, a poem. On January 29th, we headed to Almira for our walk. It’s our new adventure– enjoy a drive to a nearby small town and take our walk on the town’s main street. This photo is the landscape, higher than where we live in the coulee along the Columbia River, and so much colder. The hills of the farmland shine white in the brilliant winter sun.

I find myself enjoying the cold, as I think of future summers of wildfires and heat too hot for humans. And so a poem…

I’ll Not Complain

I’ll not complain of the brisk winter cold
when summer fires we may need to escape
Just glad for the skies so blue and so bright
And sunshine on winter’s white landscape.

And, here’s our walk… here’s the Google Photo album link. It’s impossible to embed just an album in WordPress. There’s something wrong with that. But, here’s the album. Enjoy the walk through Almira .

Since I can’t embed the album, here’s a Slides Slideshow
