Daily Note

And so the Daily Create today inspired today’s poem. The photo is from a March, 2017 walk through our little woods in and around Cole Park, where the raindrops on the soil to bring spring growth– in this case, right through the autumn leaves the rain seeps and the snowdrops stretch to bring one of spring’s first delights, the dangling white petals of the snowdrop flower.

Anyone passing by must stop and smile. And couples hold hands at the gift of nature– the hope of new growth and beauty in the world.

And so the poem:

Love and Raindrops in the Wood

In March
rain drips
gently in the woods

In drops
spring seeps
slowly through the leaves

In warmth
soil thaws
moistly ‘round the seeds

In green
snowdrops grow
silently towards the sun

In white
blossoms bloom
brightly all around

In hearts
petals dangle
softly sending hope

In woods
couples pause
snuggly holding hands

In smiles
fingers point
gladly to the flowers

In love
hearts blend
warmly for spring’s gift

In March
rain drips
gently in the woods.
