September 9 the prompt is Tulips, Apples in red/green pairs
Process
Again I played with Lisa Bardot’s Midcentury Brush set. It includes a variety of line, fill, and texture brushes, perfect for quick illustrations. I started with the pale green and red background, adding stripes to the red. For the illustration, I didn’t even start with a sketch. I just drew and filled in shapes in various red/green color pairs. I added shading in midcentury style.
This is for fun, for play, for distraction. I like it. It could be much better, but then it would be a practice and play with shapes and colors. All good practice.
