Warbler Series 5 and 6

So excited to get my fifth and sixth warblers up and  ready! These are a joy to draw and color, to add texture and just the right amount of detail to show the most important coloring of each warbler.

Five is Perula’s Warbler:

It’s light teal background is set of with a boarder of a darker teal, which is the opposite of Series 6: Backman’s Warbler:

I’m excited about the coasters when I get the entire set of nine warblers finished.

I kept the design simple: similar background and textures, varying the light and dark teal. I chose the same basic colors and leaves, with seam breaks between objects, rather folk art like.
