Daily Note
Every day, a photograph, a poem. Last night the wind howled through the almost closed windows and rain pelted the windows: the cat rushed inside through the hanging screen over the slider that serves as a cat door [including stray cats, neighbor cats, and raccoons who slip in to eat our cat’s food near the door— Bother!] We closed up the house and retired to sleep through the storm.
This morning, though the sky remained grey and the day cool [thank you, Creator], I was refreshed in the view out the slider through the now blooming lilac bush. The blooms are a faded lilac / lavender color this year— and I’m not sure why that is…
Still, I love this view. And so, a poem…

through blooms that refresh.
