Wednesday WrapUp October

Welcome!

On most Wednesdays, check this blog for a strategy, process, or reflection for illustration with the iPad app ProCreate or Affinity Designer. This Wednesday Wrap Up shares a busy month for art, writing, poetry, and greeting cards — a quick review of the month’s posts.

A Quick Review

Greeting Cards

The month started with me joining again the fabulous Delores Naskrent Card Challenge, this time instead of Procreate, the focus was on Affinity Designer. You can see some of the cards in the gallery above.

WriteOut

Then, I joined in the October WRITEOUT adventure, October 13 through the 27th, partnership of the National Writing Project and the National Park Service — a chance to enjoy the outdoors with poetry, prose, and parks for Write Out 2024. Organized as a public invitation to get out and create, supported by a series of free online activities, Write Out invites educators, students, and families to explore national parks and other public spaces. The goal is to connect and learn through place-based writing and sharing.  Check out this infographic for the flow of the this week and the Choice Board to get you started for WriteOut’s Poetry for the Planet.

This is my seventh year with WriteOut with all my WriteOut posts here on my education blog and  here on this blog — in the Poetry category. Some of the poetry is in the gallery above.

Art Lessons

I also spent time with Lisa Bardot’s Brushtober lessons and Jennifer Nichols autumn leaves lesson in her Creative Journey communy [affiliate link]– with her YouTube [Jennifer Nichols Art] on my list next. Those are also in the gallery above, along with the my adaptations to Charly Clements’ “How to Draw Different Styles of Cats.”

So I didn’t have much time to write a wrap-up!

Thanks for stopping by!

I love documenting and sharing the art I spend hours creating. So if you’ve been hesitant to share your art– go for it! Start a shop. If you have any questions, just ask! I’d be glad to help with what I know.

You’re welcome to follow this blog for art inspiration. We can share with #warmup4art to enjoy our work together! I look forward to your sharing and find me at @42Sheri, on Mastodon Sheri42, on Flickr teach.eagle Sheri 42.

So, That’s a wrap for this week’s art. Thank you for stopping by!
